Last public test: Fibrous v2

Last public test: Fibrous v2

20 February 20233 min read

TL;DR

  • Fibrous v2 is now available for testing on the StarkNet Goerli Testnet. Please visit https://fibrous.finance/ to get started.
  • While the development process for Fibrous on the Mainnet is still ongoing, this will be our final public test to ensure that our algorithm functions as intended.

As a reminder, we introduced the second version of Fibrous to you last month and provided a comprehensive overview of all the modifications that have been and will be made.

We believe it is now appropriate to present the modifications made to Fibrous with version 2 to your usage.

This test will serve as the final evaluation of Fibrous prior to its deployment on the Mainnet. Upon the arrival of Cairo 1.0 on StarkNet and the activation of Automated Market Makers (AMMs), we will proceed with the migration of Fibrous to the Mainnet, making it fully available for your use.

We have made substantial improvements and modifications to Fibrous since its first version. The latest iteration, version 2, offers a greatly improved price exploration algorithm and user experience. In the first version, you conducted testing with two AMMs and three test tokens. For version 2, we sought to increase the level of complexity and introduced five different tokens, four unique AMMs, and 30 different pools. Additionally, we aimed to create diverse liquidity in each pool to challenge our algorithm and verify that the prices across all pools are equalized as a result of the swap facilitated by testers of Fibrous. This will ensure the correctness of the algorithm.

Upon completion of this test, we will confirm the accuracy of our algorithm. Then, we will commence aggregating liquidity from other AMMs on StarkNet instead of those that we have manually added. This will mark our full preparedness for deployment on the Mainnet.

So yes, this is the final test.

So how do we test Fibrous?

  • Go to https://fibrous.finance/ and launch our dApp.
  • Connect your ArgentX or Braavos wallet.
  • To obtain Test tokens, please click on the tokens and then select Mint from the pop-up screen.
  • Please sign the Mint transaction through your wallet and wait for its completion. It is important to note that you will require some göETH on StarkNet Goerli Testnet to process transactions. You are able to execute a Mint transaction once every 24 hours.
  • Upon confirmation of the transaction, you are now ready to proceed. Utilize Fibrous to swap any desired test token and assist us in constructing the premier aggregator on StarkNet!

We kindly remind you that as StarkNet is currently in its Alpha phase, transactions on Fibrous may experience some delays. However, as StarkNet will be constantly accelerating, future swaps on Fibrous will be notably faster.

Well, then?

Following the completion of this Testnet, we will make a few minor additions to Fibrous and await the arrival of Cairo 1.0. We will then recompile our Router Contract using Cairo 1.0 and prepare Fibrous for deployment on the Mainnet.

Please note that our efforts will not conclude at this point. As previously mentioned in our blog post on Fibrous, we will continue to add new features, including Cross Rollup and Mainnet Bridging, Multi-token inputs, a Backup mode, Limit Orders, and Gasless transactions, one by one. Please consider that the routing process may be somewhat slow at this time. However, we are taking steps for mainnet to significantly improve the speed of the routing process by re-writing our API in Rust. 🦀
